This is a really old SU stamp. I got it out for the Verve Meet the Divas challenge. The challenge was to pull out something you haven't used. I've been wanting to use this stamp, but I just couldn't find a good layout for it. I decided on this 4-3/4 in. square. If I had some stickles glitter glue I probably would have added it to the starburts. The sun itself would have looked better if I had some clear glitter to spread over it. I know it doesn't sound like it, but I am happy with the way this card turned out.

Many Thanks

I just couldn't wait to get this stamp set, so I went on ebay. It took my several tries, but I finally got it. I cased this card. The case can be found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/936531?cat=12236
I only cased the layout. This was a difficult card to make because of the clear embossing I did on top of the dry emboss. It's just messy and took a lot of time. I've done one other card with this kind of embossing, and I think it's my last.

I've learned since taking this photo, that you can get the true color of the card by photographing it outside on a sunny day.

chamomile

This had to be one of my favorite stamps. I just love flowers. I got the layout from one of the Verve July sketch challenges. I had trouble uploading this to SCS. It ended up in the Users group. I wasn't able to put any kind of description with it. I was able to add some information, but not the key info. you usually put down. Well, my mistake got this card on the SCS Gallery home page under User groups. So far, it's been there almost a month. I hope this makes for good advertising for the stamp companies I used.

Express-o

I just love using pinks and browns. This is my second pink and brown card for the Verve August Project Parade. I think of coffee when I use this combination, and I just so happened to have the perfect stamp set for this. I added a little dimension to the mug by bubbling up a little liquid applique and then sponged it with some Close to Cocoa ink. This was just a fun card to make.

Notes of Prayer

Sympathy cards are always hard for me. I'm never sure what is appropriate. I like this one because it is so simple. My stamp set is Notes of Prayer from Verve. I embossed the black backgroung but you can't see it from the picture. I always try to add a little bling to every card, thus the rhinestones on the corners.

Retired In Color

I'm so sad to see these colors go. I'd never thought to use them all together, until I did the Dirty Dozen color challenge at SCS. It was hard getting all 6 colors together without the card looking too busy.

Sweet

I created this card for the Verve project parade. This is for their color challenge, pink and brown. I used the Verve stamp set filigree fantasy. I used cuttlebug to emboss the backgrounds. My ovals and scallops were done with Nestabilities. The flowers are from Fabric Fancies. To give the card that little bit of bling, I added Martha Stewart pearls. Both emossed backgrounds have been sponged with the SU inks, Close to Cocoa, and Pretty in Pink. My papers are Close to Cocoa, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White.
